The Manager provides finance and operational support to Business Banking and Canadian Banking Finance, contributing to strategic direction and ensuring the integrity of financials, systems, and reporting. The role reports to the Sr. Manager, Business Banking, CB Finance, and involves:

1. Financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for the full P&L
2. Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting and analysis
3. Development of financial models and reporting packages for performance tracking and initiatives
4. Expense management, processing, and monitoring
5. Competitive analysis, ad hoc projects, and administrative tasks
6. Stakeholder management within the business line, finance, and support functions

The incumbent collaborates with various leaders within Business Banking, Canadian Banking Finance, and internal partners, participating in projects.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

1. Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage bank-wide systems and knowledge
2. Create annual profit plans and forecasts, monitoring P&L for budget compliance
3. Provide accurate forecasts by analyzing trends in Balance Sheet and P&L, liaising with field and partners
4. Identify drivers, address concerns, and communicate insights to leadership
5. Work with stakeholders to ensure effective and timely execution
6. Assist with bluebook, KPIs, and reporting/dashboard creation
7. Compare actual vs. planned volumes, revenue, margins, and expenses
8. Analyze and track support and allocated expenses
9. Conduct reasonability reviews and ensure data accuracy
10. Track Non-Interest Expenses across all lines at the transit level
11. Research and explore alternatives to maximize benefits and revenues while minimizing costs
12. Design management reports for budget usage and variance analysis
13. Ensure expenses comply with policies and guidelines
14. Manage and report on plan adherence, including overruns
15. Build relationships within the business line, partners, and support functions
16. Evaluate and recommend alternatives to meet objectives efficiently
17. Maintain operational controls aligned with the Bank’s values and risk management standards
18. Promote a high-performance, inclusive work environment

1. At least 5 years of relevant experience with strong managerial accounting and financial management knowledge
2. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and systems like OBI, Hyperion, Smartstream, Anaplan
3. Attention to detail, analytical, and presentation skills
4. Proactive communication skills, both verbal and written
5. Strong process management, planning, and organizational skills
6. Understanding of the Bank’s financial policies and processes
7. Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and demands
