As an Assurance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional client service
  2. Leading coaching and performance management/development for direct reports through goal-setting, guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities
  3. Participating in recruitment processes, including interviews, assessments, and selection decisions
  4. Planning, leading, and executing client engagements across various industries, ensuring client needs are understood and met
  5. Managing work assignments and performance of engagement team members, being accountable for outcomes
  6. Applying strategies to deliver profitable services and influence key performance indicators
  7. Proactive problem-solving with engagement teams and clients
  8. Sharing leadership in fostering Grant Thornton’s culture and contributing to business planning
  9. Identifying and supporting new business opportunities within the firm and its client relationships
  10. Building our reputation as preferred business advisors in key sectors

Qualifications:

  • CPA (CPA, CA; CPA, CMA, or CPA, CGA) accreditation
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in public accounting or related industry
  • Strong technical knowledge in audit, assurance, accounting, and tax
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Adaptability and strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal skills to build trust and influence at all levels
  • Team-oriented with leadership in coaching and development
  • Proficiency with MS Office and accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, TaxPrep, Sage, QuickBooks)
