Job summary

BDO in Waterloo, ON, seeks a Manager to join the Assurance team and lead engagements for private, public and NPO clients. You will plan, supervise and execute audits, develop a portfolio of new client opportunities, and address client issues with strong technical accounting expertise.

Responsibilities

• Review assurance and non-assurance engagements for private, public and NPO organizations to ensure standards and policies are followed.
• Effectively plan, supervise and execute assurance engagements.
• Develop a portfolio of new clients and business opportunities with existing clients on an ongoing basis.
• Address client issues in a timely manner, applying policy and strong technical accounting experience.
• Apply industry knowledge to anticipate and address issues relevant to the client's business.

• Review assurance and non-assurance engagements for private, public and NPO organizations to ensure that relevant professional standards and Firm policies are followed
• Effectively plan,superviseand executeassuranceengagements
• Develop a portfolio of new clients and business opportunities with existingclientsopportunities on an on-going basis
• Address client issuesin a timely manner, following BDO Policy and using yourstrong technical skills and accounting experience
• Applyappropriate industry/businessknowledgeinanticipating,identifyingand addressing issues relevant to the client's business

Your experience and education

• You have completed your CPA designation.
• You have at least 4-5 years of audit experience in the public accounting industry.
• You enjoy working within a variety of client industries and are keen to develop further knowledge in this area.
• You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
• You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
