Manager, Asset & Infrastructure Records Management

Job Overview

As the largest operating company in the TransLink enterprise, Coast Mountain Bus Company (CMBC) manages a fleet of clean-fuel buses, zero-emission trolley buses, and passenger SeaBuses in Metro Vancouver. We are committed to a healthy, innovative, and engaging workforce of over 5,500 employees serving nearly 1.1 million passengers daily.

Responsibilities

Primary Purpose: Provide strategic planning and continuous improvement for infrastructure records management, condition assessment, and pre-project capital planning within the Asset Management Program. Ensure the State of Good Repair for all assets through lifecycle management and support the development of the CMBC Asset Management Strategy.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Developing and implementing asset management standards and plans aligned with industry standards and organizational policies.
  • Overseeing asset renewal planning, cost estimation, and advising on full lifecycle costs.
  • Managing the 15-year capital plan and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Evaluating asset management systems and data strategies, and implementing emerging technologies.
  • Promoting awareness of asset management processes across CMBC.
  • Ensuring project alignment with asset renewal programs and managing records during project implementation.
  • Representing CMBC in technology projects and collaborating across departments.
  • Managing risks related to infrastructure, including disaster preparedness and seismic upgrades.
  • Overseeing relationships with unions and external contractors, ensuring compliance and standards.
  • Leading a team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Qualifications

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, PE designation, Asset Management Certification, with 8+ years in asset management, project management, or asset renewal roles. Similar combinations considered.

Other Skills: Expertise in lifecycle asset management, strategic planning, financial acumen, communication, leadership, and data management systems. PMP certification is an asset.

Additional Information

Work Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, Hybrid work environment. Salary: $107,200 - $160,800/year, with benefits including health, dental, transit, pension, and development programs.
