Responsibilities
PRIMARY PURPOSE

Provides project management and asset integration management expertise for the Real-time Transit Information System (RTIS) Program. Manages different projects in the program portfolio, spanning planning, delivery, integration with operations, and post-handover support. Manages asset integration including systems from TransLink, CMBC, BCRTC, Canada Line, third-party systems, covering technology, business processes, technical processes, and organizational aspects.

Key Accountabilities
  • Forecasts, plans, initiates, and manages all aspects of assigned capital projects, operating projects, and asset integration in the RTIS Program, collaborating across departments to meet operational and strategic goals.
  • Leads strategic planning, including defining scope, creating business cases, setting success metrics, and managing budgets, resources, and schedules.
  • Oversees asset integration during implementation, ensuring systems, processes, and organizational aspects are aligned and compliant, monitoring progress and safety incidents, and managing changes proactively.
  • Prepares contracts, RFPs, and tender documents, defining scope, technical requirements, and schedules.
  • Engages with business leaders to analyze policies and develop asset integration strategies supporting capital asset management.
  • Manages cross-functional teams and stakeholder relationships, coordinating resources for project execution.
  • Provides expert advice on project standards, governance, and continuous improvement practices.
Qualifications
Education and Experience

University degree in Business or related discipline plus six (6) years of progressive operational and project experience, including knowledge of Operations, Asset Management, and Project Lifecycle Management.

Other Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of project management principles, theories, and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and financial skills.
  • Excellent time management, communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills.
  • Proficiency in business and project management software and databases.
Additional Information

Recruitment involves demonstrating qualifications through interviews, including scenario and behavioral questions. The position is a full-time temporary role for approximately 14 months, with a hybrid work design. Salary ranges from $97,600 to $146,400 annually, with benefits including health, transit pass, pension, and wellness programs.
