Job summary

Subway is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, food quality, and cleanliness. You will supervise staff, manage inventory and cash controls, and collaborate on local marketing and events to drive sales.

The role requires strong communication, team leadership, and experience in a restaurant setting, with a preference for some supervisory background. Full-time positions with varied shifts available at participating locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a restaurant environment, with supervision and training experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise restaurant team to deliver guest experiences.
• Maintain safety and sanitation protocols and ensure compliance with codes.
• Monitor inventory and cash controls; ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Analyze sales data and maintain business records to drive improvements.
• Coordinate local marketing efforts and organize events to boost guest visits.

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Manager will focus on eight main things:

• Providing an excellent guest experience
• Ensuring that great food is prepared & served
• Keeping our restaurants functional, clean and beautiful
• Managing inventory and money control systems
• Coordinating local marketing initiatives, including community outreach
• Recruiting staff
• Maintaining standards of restaurant safety and security

In addition to the role of a Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Recruiting and rewarding outstanding Team members
• Ensuring safety and security protocols are followed. Including being aware of local and national healthy and food safety codes
• Maintaining business records and analyzing them to help increase sales
• Identifying and contacting prospective Guests to promote sales
• Supporting local and national marketing initiatives, ensuring restaurant is ready on every level for the beginning of a new marketing window
• Planning special events and promotions

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred

Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is essential.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
