Job summary

Insight Medical Imaging is seeking a Mammographer Technologist to join our expanding team. The role rotates around our 14 clinics and is a full-time, permanent position servicing Edmonton and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will have mammography experience, clinical radiography skills, and a working knowledge of breast imaging and DI equipment. Insight offers a supportive, equal-opportunity environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Mammography experience is an asset.
• Bone density training is an asset.
• CPR/First Aid certification is an asset.
• Clinical competency in medical radiography.
• Knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and practices.
• Knowledge of technical parameters for breast imaging.
• Working knowledge of DI equipment to ensure units function correctly.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, performs, reports and records standardized and complex mammography procedures with patient comfort in mind.
• Reports abnormal findings to Radiologist.
• Operates and maintains digital imaging equipment and DI office duties.
• Ensures cleanliness and safety of the radiographic area.
• Supports Radiologists, students and staff as needed.

Insight is currently seeking a Mammographer Technologist to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a full time, permanent position that will rotate around our 14 clinics that offer mammography exams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares, performs, reports and records a variety of standardized and/or complex procedures, with attention to the welfare and comfort of the patient.
• Reports any recognized unusual or abnormal findings to the Radiologist.
• Responsible for the operation, safety measures, and basic maintenance of all digital equipment.
• Responsible for the general care and cleanliness of the radiographic area.
• Knowledge of computer system and all DI office duties.
• Maintains quality control in the performance of all procedures.
• Willing to assist Radiologists, students, or fellow staff members as required.
