Job summary

West Edmonton Mall Property Inc., owner of West Edmonton Mall and the Fantasyland Hotel, seeks a 1st or 2nd year Electrical apprentice to develop a career in commercial electrical maintenance. You will troubleshoot complex systems, install conduit and wiring, and read electrical drawings in a busy, high-traffic environment.

The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and the ability to work night shifts when required, with full-time hours Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a recognized 1st or 2nd year electrical apprenticeship.
• Experience with commercial electrical maintenance is an asset.
• Willingness to read electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and refurbish electrical distribution systems and equipment.
• Assist with fire alarm systems, lighting, cameras, and network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment across the mall environment.
• Install conduit, wiring, and perform circuit testing for safe operation.
• Read drawings and apply electrical codes; perform preventative maintenance.
• Support safety, quality workmanship and participate in shutdown work.
