Job summary

Prairie Crocus Manor in Winnipeg is recruiting a full-time Maintenance Worker to support the Maintenance Coordinator in delivering a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors.

You will perform general building, grounds and yard repairs, painting, window cleaning, and equipment maintenance, while ensuring compliance with all laws, standards and policies as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator.

• One year of experience in general maintenance

Responsibilities

• Assist with general building, grounds and yard repairs as directed by the Maintenance Coordinators
• Ensure all required work is completed in a safe, effective manner in accordance with laws, regulations, standards and policies
• Complete building repairs in a timely manner as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator
• Ensure walkways, doorways and driveways are clear and in good repair
• Complete all painting requirements as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator
• Perform spring and fall window cleaning and other duties as required
• Perform repairs and maintenance of equipment and building as directed by supervisor
• Assist all departments with the transfer of equipment to ensure uninterrupted resident services
• Ensure transferring of heavy equipment is done in compliance with policies
• Wear PPE as required by legislation and for personal protection
• Perform floor maintenance as directed
• Remove and dispose garbage from the facility as scheduled
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Perform other related duties to support quality care for Prairie Crocus Manor residents

Prairie Crocus Manor is recruiting an enthusiastic, energetic and reliable person to join our team as a full-time Maintenance Worker. The Maintenance Worker assists the Maintenance Coordinator in the efficient operation of the maintenance department to ensure a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Coordinator.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with general building, grounds and yard repairs as directed bt the Maintenance Coordinators
• Ensure all required work is completed in an effective safe manner in accordance with all laws, regulations, standards and policies governing Prairie Crocus Manor
• Complete building repairs are completed in a timely manner as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator.
• Ensure walkways, doorways and driveways are clear and in good repair.
• Completes all painting requirements as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator.
• Perform spring and fall window cleaning and as otherwise required
• Perform repairs and maintenance of equipment and building in a timely manner as directed by supervisor.
• Assist all departments with the transfer of equipment to ensure uninterrupted resident services.
• Ensure the transferring of heavy equipment is done in compliance with WPSH policies.
• Wear PPE as required by legislation and to ensure personal protection
• Perform floor maintenance as directed.
• Remove and dispose garbage from the facility as scheduled.

• Perform other related duties as required to assist in the provision of quality care and services to the residents of Prairie Crocus Manor as they relate to the requirements of the position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• One (1) year experience in general maintenance
