Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Maintenance Worker II at Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital. You may perform routine preventative and demand maintenance on building systems, drywall, floors, painting, plumbing and equipment.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid driver's licence.
• Power Engineer 5th Class Certificate required where boiler support is necessary.

• Maintain and repair drywall, floors and painting as needed.
• Carry out minor plumbing repairs and equipment checks.
• Disassemble equipment for cleaning and servicing.

Your Opportunity

In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Description

As a Maintenance Worker II, you may perform routine preventative and demand maintenance activities within the exterior and interior of the building. Under general supervision, you may perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on facility architectural, structural and mechanical systems/components to ensure safety and efficient operation of the building systems and equipment. You may perform a wide range of general maintenance duties including maintenance and repair of drywall, floors and painting. Additional duties may include minor plumbing repair; minor repairs on equipment; checks on equipment for pressure and temperature; and disassembly of equipment for cleaning.
