Job summary

Grandchamp Chapiteaux inc. in Repentigny, Quebec, is seeking a versatile maintenance technician to keep our four-season tent rental and manufacturing operations running smoothly.

You will handle building upkeep, repairs, equipment maintenance, and shop projects, coordinating with teams, staying organized, and applying safe practices to ensure reliable service and steady opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in building maintenance.
• Proficiency with basic manual trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting).
• Ability to operate and understand basic technological equipment.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Commitment to health and safety regulations.
• Motivation to engage in projects and learn.

Responsibilities

• Check lighting, restrooms, and ventilation systems.
• Inspect garage equipment (forklifts, small engines).
• Maintain machinery with routine degreasing and maintenance.
• Repair/install doors and locks; basic carpentry tasks.

THE POSITION:

You’re versatile, hands-on, and self-reliant.On a day-to-day basis, you’ll handle building maintenance, repairs, andworkshop projects: preparing materials, maintaining equipment, assemblingcomponents, and supporting various operations. You’re comfortable with avariety of tasks, particularly renovation work, and you know how to stayorganized and respond quickly to requests that come up throughout the week.Whether dealing with emergencies or scheduled work, you find effective,practical solutions, working just as effectively on your own as you do incollaboration with the team. You provide support to various departments,including, when needed, receiving, sorting, maintaining, and handling rentalequipment.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Checkthe lighting, ensure that restroom facilities and the ventilation system areworking properly.
• Ensurethat equipment inspections in the garage are carried out (forklifts, smallengines, etc.).
• Maintainmachinery (degreasing, preventive maintenance).
• Repairand install doors and locks (basic).
• Installand mount building fixtures (televisions, signs, etc.).
• Clearsnow and salt walkways and proactively manage risks of slipping, tripping, andfalling.
• Responsiblefor special cleaning of coffee equipment.
• Replacefilters and perform maintenance on air conditioners.
• Allother related tasks such as minor repairs or other manual work of varyingcomplexity.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three (3) to five (5) yearsof experience in building maintenance
• Knowledge and skills inmanual labor (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting)
• Proficiency withtechnological equipment
• Good physical condition
• Hold a Class 5 driver’slicense
• Comply with applicablehealth and safety regulations
• Be motivated and eager toget involved in projects
