Job summary

Groupe Lebel seeks a Weekend Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations at Bois Daaquam and related plants in eastern Canada. The role requires supervising a team Thursday to Sunday, prioritizing tasks to keep production running safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will respond to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other breakdowns, lead repairs, ensure preventive maintenance, and maintain records while promoting safe practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit.
• Autonomous and reliable.
• Able to supervise weekend maintenance team.
• Experience in maintenance supervision preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate weekend maintenance personnel and activities.
• Prioritize work based on production needs.
• Respond to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other equipment breakdowns.
• Lead troubleshooting and repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Ensure preventative maintenance activities are completed according to schedule.
• Inspect equipment and identify potential failures or maintenance concerns.
• Coordinate with production supervisors to address equipment and operational issues.
• Promote safe work practices, including proper lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and shift reports.
• Provide coaching, direction, and support to maintenance employees.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, productivity, and safety.
