Job summary

Tricon Living is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to support our Toronto portfolio, including The Stella on Dundas Street West. The role involves hands-on building maintenance, preventative tasks, and coordinating with property teams to keep resident and tenant experiences safe, reliable and disruption-free.

You will diagnose issues across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and life-safety systems, work with licensed trades, and uphold Tricon Living’s standards of service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant hands-on maintenance experience in multi-residential, mixed-use or commercial properties.
• Technical knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and life-safety systems.
• Experience coordinating with external contractors or licensed trades.
• Customer-facing experience and ability to respond to service requests professionally.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CMMS for records and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and address issues before disruptions.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and life-safety systems.
• Coordinate with property teams and contractors to schedule repairs with minimal resident disruption.
• Inspect buildings and equipment, maintain reports in the maintenance system.
• Provide excellent resident and tenant service and communicate clearly about timelines.
