Job summary

County of Simcoe is hiring a Maintenance Worker - SEIU Service in Ontario. The role involves preventive maintenance, servicing electrical and plumbing equipment, and assisting with HVAC systems within a long-term care setting.

The job requires at least a Grade 12 diploma, plus knowledge in building maintenance and related trades; a current Criminal Records Check and TB test results are required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or educational equivalency.
• General knowledge in building maintenance, plumbing, heating, electrical, painting.
• Post-secondary training in electrical/plumbing/carpentry is an asset.
• Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within 6 months of hire.
• As a condition of employment, TB testing results must be submitted.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair electrical and plumbing equipment.
• Monitor and assist with HVAC systems as required.
• Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping within the facility.
• Handle furniture setup and seasonal grounds work as assigned.
