Job description

Fuze HR is now hiring a Maintenance Technician in Surrey, BC!

This is a temporary contract opportunity with the potential to become permanent for candidates demonstrating strong technical skills and a good cultural fit. Interviews are happening immediately, with an anticipated start in the second week of May. If you have at least one year of maintenance experience in a production facility, are available from May, live near Surrey, and have reliable transportation, apply today!

Perks

• Weekly pay! $29.50/hr + $1.50/hr night premium
• 36 hours per week, paid weekly for a full 40 hours
• Schedule: Friday-Sunday, 3 x 12 hour shifts (Monday – Thursday off)
• Immediate start available

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair machinery and systems including packaging, process equipment, mechanical, electrical, and facilities
• Optimize maintenance and operations through minimizing costs and implementing KPIs
• Plan and coordinate preventative and predictive maintenance
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, industry, and company regulations (including GMP, HACCP)
• Maximize equipment uptime to support production efficiency
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and use CMMS effectively

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 1 year of relevant maintenance experience
• Team-oriented, collaborative, and able to work independently when needed
• Strong decision-making skills and proactive attitude
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical systems, safety, and preventive maintenance
• Willingness to lead and provide guidance
• Hands-on experience with equipment and facility maintenance

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of packing machines and maintenance techniques
• Understanding of PLCs and computerized machinery
• Experience with raw materials handling
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and cost management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
