Job summary

Broadstreet Properties Ltd. in Calgary, AB, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Livingston Heights apartments. You will diagnose and repair plumbing, heating, electrical issues, doors, windows, and perform painting and drywall tasks to keep units in top condition.

Responsibilities include exterior maintenance and reporting deficiencies. Must have 2+ years in maintenance, trade certification or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license with a reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a maintenance-related role.
• Trade certification or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of hand tools and repair equipment.
• Experience with computers and mobile devices for work orders.
• On-call availability required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing basic to intermediate plumbing, heating and electrical problems.
• Repairing windows, doors, switches, plugs, appliances, equipment, fixtures and carpet/tiles.
• Painting, drywall patching, mudding, taping, etc.
• Maintaining exterior including basic grounds maintenance as required.
• Detecting faulty operations and reporting deficiencies.

Your contributions to the team include:

• Diagnosing and repairing basic to intermediate plumbing, heating and electrical problems
• Performing repairs on windows, blinds, doors, switches, plugs, appliances, equipment, fixtures and carpet, vinyl and ceramic tile replacement
• Painting, drywall patching, mudding, taping, etc.
• Maintaining building exterior including basic grounds maintenance as required
• Detecting faulty operations, defective materials and reporting deficiencies

What you need to be successful:

• 2+ years’ experience in a maintenance related role
• Completion of relevant trade, technical certification, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of hand tools and repair equipment
• Experience using computers, smartphones, and tablets; used for email, electronic work order applications, timesheets
• Availability to work on-call on rotational basis
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
