General Description of Class: Under direction, performs minor repairs and maintenance duties on a regular basis, along with operational support duties across various university buildings.
Education: Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; technical training is desirable.
Experience: At least three years of related work experience; technical training may substitute for experience.
Other Skills and Knowledge: Mechanical aptitude, building maintenance knowledge, ability to operate tools and equipment safely, familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety Act, effective communication skills, ability to work independently, and physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 50 lbs and walking long distances. Experience with elevator and accessibility equipment is an asset.
