Job Description

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with the day-to-day operational and maintenance needs of the Second City. We are looking for someone who is punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented.

This is a part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. This role is primarily weekends but may have occasional weekday requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Track and discard lost & found items
  • Track and store equipment / product deliveries
  • Maintenance of products and spaces
  • Assist with immediate on-site projects
  • Complete product installation requests and troubleshooting
  • Set-up and breakdowns for classes and / or events
  • Verify each space has sufficient chairs, supplies and / or equipment
  • Be available to assist with any malfunctions in the spaces
  • Set-up and breakdown all equipment used for classes / events
  • Inventory of class equipment (mics, amps, etc.)
  • Lock up closed areas of the building

Qualifications

  • Proactive and solution-focused
  • Can adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability (willing to work mornings, evenings, and weekends)
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs or more
  • Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders occasionally during shift
  • Bend / twist at waist / knees / neck to perform various duties
