Job summary

Sun Peaks Grand Hotel is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our slope-side team. You will be responsible for upkeep of facilities, safety compliance, and collaborating across departments to meet operational needs.

The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, strong English, and experience with technology and building systems. Resort background is a plus; training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must have authorization to work within Canada.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• High level of experience with technology and devices.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in maintenance or related field preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• WHMIS certification preferred; First Aid/ Emergency training assets.

Job description

Do you have a knack for fixing things and are looking for a job at a fantastic slope side hotel? Our team is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join us. The ideal candidate should have excellent written and spoken English skills and experience with various technologies, such as smartphones, tablets, computers, and 2-way radio systems. Additionally, the candidate should possess mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and general construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and flooring knowledge. Having previously worked in a full-service hotel or resort setting, knowing pool and hot tub maintenance is highly desirable.

Compensation Information: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour

Physical Requirement: Heavy; work activities involve handling loads up to 35kg; predominantly in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.
