Job description

Position: Maintenance Technician I

The purpose of a Maintenance Technician I position is to perform basic tasks and repairs within the fulfillment center, including work on conveyors, PIT equipment, and general building maintenance. Candidates should have a basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, as well as familiarity with AC/DC systems and the ability to use a voltmeter.

You will report to the Facilities Area Manager and work onsite in our Ontario, California fulfillment center.

Our Impact
  1. Building Maintenance: Perform and facilitate general facility repairs such as plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, HVAC, and wall repair. Repair dock doors, dock locks, and dock plates to ensure smooth operation.
  2. Equipment Maintenance: Conduct planned and unplanned repairs, preventative maintenance on production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building systems. Identify and address safety hazards and potential issues proactively.
  3. Conveyor, Automation, and Sorter Systems: Support and perform repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain conveyor and sorter equipment operation.
  4. Electrical: Understand AC and DC systems and operate a voltage meter. Follow lockout/tagout policies.
  5. System Installation, Design, Construction, and Repair: Assist team leaders and contractors with new or replacement equipment installations.
  6. Record Keeping: Use CMMS systems to record and maintain data on time, parts, and repairs. Read technical manuals and document changes.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; industrial mechanic trade courses or certifications (e.g., electrical, controls, plumbing, welding) or military technical training.
  • At least 6 months of experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Availability for occasional on-call work or overtime.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Preferably, familiarity with voltage meters and AC/DC systems.

Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $24.00
