Summary

This position will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform duties to install and maintain production machines and plant equipment.
  • Adjust and calibrate all rolls and settings for optimal equipment performance to manufacture quality products.
  • Troubleshoot programmable controllers and repair all A / C and D / C drives and control systems.
  • Perform mechanical skills including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Provide emergency and scheduled repairs of production equipment during and outside of production hours.
  • Maximize equipment utilization by maintaining machinery for optimal capacity and speed.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
  • Read and interpret manuals and work orders for maintenance tasks.
  • Use various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • At least four years of manufacturing experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical skills, some PLC experience, and HVAC knowledge.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented and self-directed.

  • Frequently talk or hear.
  • Occasionally reach with hands and arms.
  • Must regularly lift / move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
  • Typically loud noise level.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet / humid conditions, high places, fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • May require a current Lift Truck License or other certifications for specific areas or equipment.
