Job summary

Rimrock Property Management Ltd. in Lethbridge, Alberta, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will maintain a portfolio of residential and commercial properties, handling routine repairs and safety checks.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of residential or commercial building maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license required; travel between properties is part of the job.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating and general repairs.
• Trade ticket or building operator certificate is an asset.
• Safe work habits with WHMIS and first aid.
• Clear communication with residents, tenants and property managers.
• Clear criminal record check.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders: basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, doors, locks and appliances.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and seasonal checks on building systems.
• Prepare vacant suites for the next resident, including repairs, painting and final checks.
• Inspect buildings and grounds, and report deficiencies and safety concerns.
• Meet and oversee contractors on site, and confirm their work is complete.
• Record time, materials and completed work in the work order system.

Rimrock Property Management is hiring a Maintenance Technician based in Lethbridge. The technician keeps a group of residential and commercial properties safe, working and well presented, and is the person residents and tenants see when something needs fixing.

What you will do

• Complete maintenance work orders: basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, doors, locks and appliances.

Compensation, hours and benefits

• Reports to a community manager or property manager.
• $50,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Includes a place in the after-hours on-call rotation.
