Job summary

Langier Real Estate Developments Ltd. / MyVic Property Management in Edmonton is seeking a Junior Maintenance Technician to join our construction team. No prior work experience is required and you will perform general carpentry, basic plumbing/electrical tasks, and upkeep across apartments and construction sites.

This in-person role covers Edmonton and surrounding areas. Candidates should be organized, able to lift up to 50 lbs, pass a criminal record check, and legally work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal English.
• Highly organized; problem solving; customer service.
• Professional appearance; independent and team work.
• Physically able: paint/clean, bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, lift 50 lbs.
• Legal to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• General carpentry duties, framing, drywall etc.
• Minor Plumbing and Electrical work
• Cabinet install; Painting; Minor HVAC repairs
• General handyman duties/repairs in apartments and at construction sites
• Treat residents with courtesy and respect; communicate problems to the Maintenance Manager and lead Property Manager
• Other duties as assigned; assist with renovations, new construction, commercial RE activities
• Assist with after hours calls
