Qualifications

  • Practical experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial setting.

  • Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's license required.

About this opportunity:

Location: Landmark Feed Mill

Employment Type: Full‑time (40 hours/week)

Salary: Starting wage from $23.00 per hour.

Schedule: Rotating shifts that include weekends, holidays, and occasional alarm response.

Looking for a role where your mechanical skills truly matter? As a Maintenance Technician at Canada Packers, you’ll take the lead in performing both preventative and non‑scheduled maintenance on a wide range of production equipment in our feed manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining, repairing, and overhauling plant production equipment, buildings, and grounds

  • Performing preventative maintenance and implementing improvements or modifications

  • Supporting project teams in the design, installation, and commissioning of new or modified equipment

  • Keeping accurate records of inspections, repairs, and meter readings

  • Scheduling, tracking, and completing preventative maintenance on all machinery and boilers

  • Managing sourcing and inventory control of required parts

  • Troubleshooting equipment issues and developing solutions independently

  • Responding to maintenance issues and alarms on a rotational basis, including weekends and holidays

Skills & Experience:

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application. Proof of eligibility may be requested during the recruitment process.

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

  • Practical experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial setting

  • Experience with automated manufacturing equipment

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment

  • Knowledge of PLC and controls is an asset

  • Licensed Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), Class 4 Power Engineer, or equivalent work experience

  • Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license
