Job summary

Autism Services seeks a dedicated maintenance technician to perform high-quality repair and maintenance across facilities and equipment. You will use preventative and reactive approaches, diagnose faults, and independently complete repairs to ensure safe operation of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

Role requires hands-on maintenance, strong time management, and ability to adapt to changing priorities. Overtime may be required to complete tasks and support junior staff where needed.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality repair and maintenance services for facilities and equipment using both preventative and reactive approaches
  • Perform hands-on maintenance while effectively managing time, tasks, and resources
  • Diagnosing equipment and system faults and complete repairs independently
  • Support safe, reliable operation of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
  • Adapt to changing priorities to meet operational needs
  • Maintain accurate records through work orders or maintenance reporting systems
Qualifications & Experience
  • Knowledge of three-phase electrical systems
  • Hands-on experience with heavy-duty mechanical equipment, including forklifts, trailers, and welders
  • Practical understanding of compressed air systems and pneumatic tools
  • Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage daily priorities with minimal supervision
  • Technical training or 2+ Years in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields
  • Strong reliability, accountability, and work ethic
  • Willingness to work overtime as required to ensure tasks are completed
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing operational demands
  • Leadership potential and willingness to support junior staff (considered an asset)
  • Basic computer skills, including CMMS, work orders, or reporting systems
