Job summary

Boardwalk is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Brampton property team. You will address maintenance requests, perform on-call emergency maintenance, and coordinate turnover inspections with Customer Care.

The role requires hands-on skills and a commitment to quality service in a fast-paced residential environment. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of maintenance service experience; renovation experience is an asset.

Qualifications

  • 2 years maintenance service experience required.
  • 3 years renovation experience an asset.
  • Working knowledge of English language verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Address Maintenance Requests within 72 hours
  • Perform on-call emergency maintenance
  • Vacant suite maintenance and touch ups per established quality standards
  • General common area and building maintenance
  • Coordinate inspections of turnover suites with Customer Care Team
  • Preventative Maintenance inspections and reporting
  • Ensure contractors complete their work per established quality standards
  • Assist with snow removal
  • Complete other tasks and assist other sites as required

Experience and Educational Requirements
  • 2 years maintenance service experience required
  • 3 years renovation experience an asset
Technical Requirements
  • Working knowledge of English language both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with technology is an asset
Non-Technical Requirements
  • Ensure to have all tools on the tool list (list provided during interview)
  • Ability to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting
  • Ability to maneuver up to 90kg with the proper equipment
  • Ability to fix the problem correctly the first time
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, enthusiasm and assertiveness
Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Own reliable vehicle
