Corteva has an exciting opportunity for Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Lethbridge, AB site.

What You Will Do
  1. Work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure everyone goes home safely each day.
  2. Support production operations through maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.
  3. Ensure the operation of company equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and control devices.
  4. Perform mechanical repairs, servicing, troubleshooting, and scheduled inspections following prescribed guidelines.
  5. Review and assist with mechanical safety programs to ensure compliance.
  6. Adhere to quality systems and safety procedures, including environmental regulations.
  7. Recommend safety improvements through mechanical programs or process changes.
  8. Coordinate with the maintenance supervisor, coordinator, and specialists on work queues, work orders, and projects. Organize and plan work, including seasonal prep.
  9. Assist team members with daily tasks as needed.
  10. Support production team members with their daily tasks as needed.
  11. Work overtime and weekends during seasonal peaks.
  12. Participate in scheduled on-call coverage during peak seasons.
  13. Work rotating day and evening shifts.
  14. Perform other duties as required by the business needs.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
What Skills You Need
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn and mentor.
  • Valid Class “5” driver’s license and ability to obtain a driver’s abstract.
  • Experience in industrial mechanical work.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting mechanical issues related to motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC.
  • Ability to perform lubrication and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Welding, repairing, and fabricating equipment as needed.
  • Basic troubleshooting of electrical issues related to motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC.
  • Understanding of PLC automation (Allen Bradley) is an asset.
  • Ability to climb, work in elevated areas, and work outdoors/in various conditions.
  • Comfort with technology and computer applications, including SAP R3 (asset).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive motions.
  • Good communication skills and organizational skills.
