Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment including forklifts, dock levelers, restraints, overhead doors, HVAC systems, water heaters, compressed air systems, fire suppression systems, and racking.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance and support automated storage and retrieval systems.
• Respond to emergencies and support building and automation systems operations.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication on machinery and building systems.

Working Conditions:

• Grocery warehouse areas vary in temperature: room temperature, cold storage (~1-2°C), and freezer (~-15°C to -23°C).
• Regular standing and walking required.
• High concentration and alertness needed.
• Peak seasons may require scheduled overtime.
• 30-minute paid lunch during 8-hour shifts.
• As a 24/7 operation, flexibility to work on all statutory holidays is required, though not necessarily all of them.

Minimum Requirements:

• Certificate of Ontario Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 433A is required.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical repairs and maintenance of automated equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; electrical experience is a plus.
• Experience with lift truck maintenance is beneficial.

Compensation: $41.25 per hour
