Job summary

Rhapsody Property Management is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor for our Ottawa property. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and lead a team of technicians to deliver high-quality service to residents, manage turnovers, and resolve issues promptly.

Required are 5+ years in maintenance, high school or GED, and on-call flexibility. Strong communication, safety, and problem-solving skills are essential in this role at our property in Ottawa, ON.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School or GED.
• 5+ years of maintenance or related experience.
• Flexibility to work on-call on a rotating schedule (evenings & weekends).
• Proficient with basic handheld and electrical tools.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, etc.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of Maintenance Technicians.
• Ensure timely completion of service requests in suites and common areas.
• Manage in-suite turnovers including light/heavy maintenance and basic repairs.
• Perform appliances, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical repairs as needed.
• Inspect and maintain grounds, facilities, and equipment; identify required maintenance.
• Escalate budget-impacting issues (life safety, damages) to management.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and comply with safety standards.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and participate in on-call procedures.
• Provide superior customer service and represent the company professionally.
