We require a MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR for our Brantford, Ontario location.

Shift Openings: Fixed Night Shift Continental (12 hour)

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the shift maintenance operations with direct responsibility for the oversight of hourly employees.

Successful candidates require experience managing a team in a complex 24/7 facility, and have a track record of effective team building, KPI management, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control maintenance operations for maximum effective utilization of workers, equipment, facility, and materials, ensuring compliance with cost and quality standards, company policies, and legislative requirements.
• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and liaise with vendors for repairs.
• Direct hourly workers to ensure adherence to company objectives.
• Monitor production processes and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Participate in program development, safety initiatives, building and grounds maintenance, and equipment installation.
• Communicate effectively to address issues in a unionized manufacturing environment (Brantford, ON).
• Administer Collective Agreement (if applicable) alongside company policies, resolving employee issues including progressive discipline.

Experience Required

• 3+ years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing facility.
• Previous supervision of skilled trades.
• Experience with automation is an asset.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Skills, Abilities & Equipment Operated

• Strong change management and continuous improvement skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing technological environments.
• Knowledge of ERP, CMMS, and MRP systems.
• Concrete project management experience (asset).

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed as a Millwright and/or Electrician.
• Degree in Industrial Relations or relevant maintenance work experience.
