Job summary

INVISTA in Kingston, ON is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor (Project Management) to lead a skilled maintenance team supporting a highly integrated manufacturing operation. You will partner with Operations to improve equipment reliability and asset performance while developing the capabilities of a team responsible for safely executing maintenance work across the site.

This role emphasizes coaching, problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement using Lean and CMMS tools (SAP) to manage work

Qualifications

• Postsecondary education in a relevant technical field or equivalent industrial experience.
• Experience leading and supervising teams, including mentoring and training.
• Experience applying mechanical knowledge to maintain, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, team-oriented work environment and empower employees to contribute ideas and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop a team of 20-25 direct reports with ownership, capability development, and data-based problem solving.
• Partner with Operations to improve line efficiency, reduce downtime, and maximize equipment availability.
• Provide technical direction on troubleshooting, repairs, and quality of craft work.
• Apply Lean concepts to complete work without interruption and eliminate barriers and waste.
• Use CMMS and digital tools to manage work orders, track results, and drive data-based decisions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that reduce costs and extend equipment life.
