Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions in Feversham, Ontario is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a highly automated site focused on reliability and continuous improvement. You will mentor technicians, optimize maintenance processes, and drive safe, efficient operation across packaging and bottling systems.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and a track record of improving equipment uptime.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of maintenance in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Experience leading maintenance teams in supervisory roles.
Strong mechanical and electrical PLC troubleshooting skills.
Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance programs.
Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe maintenance practices.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Willing to participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

Lead the maintenance department to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of highly automated equipment.
Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians with development plans.
Build balanced maintenance teams and promote mentorship and knowledge transfer.
Support succession planning and strengthen technical capability across the department.
Foster a positive, accountable team culture with strong communication and collaboration.
Conduct regular performance discussions to support employee development.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for reliability.
Monitor maintenance inventory and coordinate procurement of parts.
Prioritize, assign, and track work orders to ensure timely completion and CMMS compliance.
Track equipment KPIs and drive reliability improvements.
Manage repair and maintenance costs while maintaining performance.
Lead maintenance meetings and coordinate with production and other departments.
