Job summary

Mace Staffing Solutions Inc. is sourcing an experienced Maintenance Lead for an Ontario manufacturing client. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance, coaching a small team, and driving equipment reliability through preventive and predictive programs.

You will coordinate maintenance activities, read schematics, and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems while ensuring safety and continuous improvement across production lines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• At least 2 years in team leadership, supervision, mentoring, or coordination.
• Valid industrial trade certification (433A Millwright or 309A/442A Electrician).
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems; read technical drawings.
• Experience with CMMS, safety procedures, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support maintenance team members; coordinate daily priorities.
• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment.
• Coordinate preventive/predictive maintenance to improve reliability and uptime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records; enforce safety/regulatory requirements; support improvement initiatives.

Job description

One of our clients is looking for an experienced Maintenance Lead to join their manufacturing team in Ontario. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong technical troubleshooting skills, industrial maintenance experience, and the ability to lead, coach, and support a maintenance team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining equipment reliability, minimizing production downtime, coordinating preventive maintenance activities, and promoting a safe, efficient, and continuous-improvement-focused work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and support maintenance team members while coordinating daily work priorities and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated production equipment.
• Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and meet production targets.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, follow safety and regulatory requirements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years of team leadership, supervision, mentoring, or coordination experience.
• Valid industrial trade certification, preferably 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), 309A/442A Electrician, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs, CMMS software, industrial safety procedures, and continuous improvement practices; food manufacturing, bakery, bottling, or high-speed packaging experience is an asset.
