Job description

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join a major automotive manufacturer located in Cambridge. If you have leadership experience and are seeking the next step in your career, this is a great opportunity!

Maintenance Supervisor

Location:

Cambridge

Shift:

Two shift rotation (days and afternoons)

Pay:

$85-95K

• Must have a 433A, 422A, or 309A license and at least 5 years of manufacturing experience as a licensed tradesperson.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain departmental procedures and instructions
• Develop annual maintenance plans, schedule major projects, plant shutdowns, and provide updates to management
• Manage inventory control and expedite lead-time items with suppliers
• Oversee preventive and ongoing maintenance
• Authorize maintenance purchase orders
• Schedule and assign daily duties, review work for quality and schedule adherence
• Recommend and coordinate outside contractors, ensuring compliance with company policies
• Ensure safety standards, conduct workplace inspections, and investigate incidents
• Order parts, address substandard acts or conditions, and conduct safety meetings

Qualifications:

• Trade certifications such as Industrial Millwright/Mechanic, Electrician, Tool and Die, or Controls Automation; experience in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical maintenance is a plus
• At least three years of supervisory experience in manufacturing
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Proficiency with PC and manufacturing software
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and collective agreements is advantageous
• Familiarity with automation, robotics, PLCs, welding, and press operations is a plus
