Job description

We are seeking an Assistant General Manager to handle the day-to-day management of the restaurant. As AGM, you will be responsible for training, leading, counseling, and developing Team Members to maximize sales and profitability, control expenses, meet budgetary constraints, handle Guest Complaints, and ensure sanitation, safety, and food quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Manage hourly employees including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline.
  2. Review applications, interview, and make recommendations to hire hourly employees.
  3. Observe all kitchen operations and address any issues out of alignment promptly and directly.
  4. Direct work for employees including setting hours and weekly schedules and assigning tasks before, during, and after open hours of the restaurant.
  5. Drive sales and guest satisfaction; manage food costs, inventory levels, utility usage, and Health Department ratings.
  6. Ensure food quality by maintaining high levels of cleanliness, organization, storage, sanitation of food products.
  7. Ensure CHARM Service Model is executed by every team member with every guest.
  8. Provide, direct, and schedule Front of House and Back of House training to ensure all team members have current knowledge of all our policies, procedures, and specs.
  9. Supervise and oversee the production and preparation of food and beverages in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures.
  10. Follow Operations Playbook to ensure consistent daily operations.
  11. Utilize digital manager logbook to communicate shift notes, product needs, equipment repairs, and staffing notes with management team.
  12. Enforce appropriate security measures at the restaurant to maintain the safety of employees and guests.
  13. Manage food, supplies, and liquor costs by conducting weekly inventory.
  14. Understand, manage, and practice safe food handling procedures.
  15. Adhere to company policies, procedures, all state and federal wage and hour regulations, and restaurant filing responsibilities.
  16. Ensure all equipment is in good repair.
  17. Manage all processes including line checks, pull thaw, prep lists, food inventory, beverage cost, truck orders, food safety, etc.
  18. Coach team to ensure food and beverages are prepared to our recipe specifications about portion, preparation, and plate presentation.
  19. Maintain a valid food safety certificate and any local compliance certifications.
  20. Responsible for execution of new initiatives including new product and menu rollouts.

REQUIREMENTS :

  1. Must be at least 21 years old.
  2. High School Diploma or High School equivalency required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  3. Prefer 2 years of hands-on restaurant management experience.
  4. ServSafe Certified preferred or able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
  5. Valid Driver's License.
  6. Commitment to excellence in friendly service.

  9. Able to analyze issues and problem-solve.
  10. Sets clear goals for themselves and their team.
  11. Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  1. Ability to work up to 55 hours per week.
  2. Ability to stand or walk for hours at a time.
  3. Ability to frequently hear, speak, walk, crawl, climb, stand, reach, bend, balance, kneel, and stoop.
  4. Ability to frequently lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  5. Ability to tolerate significant changes in temperature.
  6. Ability to tolerate frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning or sanitizing solutions.
  7. Good close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
