Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs, including adjusting and testing systems such as steering, electrical, cooling, brakes, drive trains, suspensions, power steering, clutches, transmissions, and engine components, in accordance with all relevant guidelines and requirements.
• Oversee the implementation of NELLC maintenance and safety procedures at the local maintenance facility, ensuring staff compliance and adherence to local legislation.
• Manage the use of NELLC's Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) ERP system and oversee local maintenance work orders and parts inventory.
• Supervise preventive and unscheduled repairs for vehicles serviced by this facility.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with other local operations functions such as driver care, route operations, and customer care.
• Supervise maintenance staff at the facility, ensuring high standards of safety and ethics.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of fleet supervision experience in a Diesel Shop with heavy/medium-duty fleets.
• Minimum of 5 years of auto/truck or bus mechanical repair experience.
• Experience with compliance to local DOT regulations for medium/heavy trucks.
• Proficiency in computer use and diagnostics tools.
• Strong judgment, decision-making, planning, and scheduling skills.
• Experience in parts inventory management, purchasing, and budget oversight.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules.
