Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the daily and long-term maintenance operations of the raw area of the plant, MRO system, parts inventory, and maintenance workers, while maintaining and upholding all food safety and OHS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Electrical Supervisor and supervise union employees
• Work with the Maintenance Planner to plan and schedule major shutdowns and daily/long-term workloads
• Complete equipment PMs in advance to ensure correct work orders and parts are available for major shutdowns
• Collaborate with the MRO Coordinator to have essential parts available for weekends and shutdowns
• Manage Part Rebuild, PM, and Inventory programs
• Coordinate mechanics' work with the production department to ensure continuous operations
• Develop, issue, and supervise PM work orders for continuous improvement
• Ensure the safety, output, and well-being of maintenance department employees and contractors
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience with French fry processing and understanding of production steps
• Trade certification or college diploma (industrial electrician, mechanic, heavy-duty mechanic, instrumentation technician)
• Strong technical background in OEM parts sourcing and maintenance
• Proficiency with office software (Word, Excel, email, AS400)
• Experience leading maintenance activities in a food manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills, confident, decisive, capable of conflict resolution
• Maintenance supervisor or planner experience preferred
