LWDH is seeking a Maintenance Planner to coordinate and optimize maintenance activities within our hospital environment. You will work with the Maintenance and Operations Manager to plan preventive and corrective tasks via CMMS, assuring reliability and minimal disruption.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance and Operations Manager, the Maintenance Planner provides coordination, organization, and strategic support to the maintenance function, ensuring maintenance activities are planned, prioritized, and executed efficiently to maximize equipment reliability, minimize service disruptions, and support safe hospital operations. Working collaboratively with the Maintenance and Operations Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and maintenance team, this position is responsible for developing, scheduling, and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The Maintenance Planner will play a key role in selecting, implementing, and maintaining a scalable CMMS that supports the current hospital while ensuring readiness for transition to the new hospital.
Under the direct Guidance of the Maintenance and Operations Manager, the Maintenance Planner develops and prioritizes maintenance work orders based on risk, urgency, operational requirements, and equipment reliability. They maintain accurate asset records, maintenance histories, job plans, and parts inventories within the CMMS, while ensuring tools, materials, and resources are available before work begins through effective planning and job preparation. The role also supports shutdown planning, capital improvement projects, and maintenance scheduling to minimize operational disruption while promoting clear communication of work plans across the maintenance team.
This position is integral to supporting the overall performance, reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of the maintenance program. The Maintenance Planner monitors maintenance performance indicators, analyzes equipment history to identify reliability improvements, supports root cause analysis initiatives, and promotes safe work practices, including Lockout/Tag Out procedures and compliance with quality, environmental, and safety standards. The successful candidate is a highly organized, forward-thinking professional who can independently manage competing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment while contributing effectively to a diverse, multi-trade maintenance team through professionalism, sound judgment, adaptability, and strong collaboration.
