Coast Mountain Bus Company in Vancouver is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Planning professional to develop and manage daily maintenance work plans, coordinating with the Maintenance Department to optimize labour, parts inventory, and downtime.
The role emphasizes planning, scheduling, lifecycle costing, and regulatory compliance with data analysis to enhance reliability and reduce downtime, supported by benefits including health, dental, transit, and pension plan.
As the largest operating company in the integrated TransLink enterprise, Coast Mountain Bus Company (CMBC) operates a fleet of clean-fuel conventional and community shuttle buses, zero-emission trolley buses, and passenger ferry SeaBuses in Metro Vancouver, the largest single transit service area in Canada.
High school graduation plus holds a BC or Inter-provincial automotive or heavy-duty mechanic trade TQ or diploma in mechanical engineering, together with courses in maintenance planning and scheduling, and advanced in the use of documents and spreadsheet like MS Office (Word and Excel) and Computer Maintenance Management System software. Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required.
Minimum four (4) years recent related experience in fleet maintenance planning, regulatory requirements, including exposure to detailed knowledge of fleet maintenance scheduling systems, material lists, job tasks/instructions and life cycle costing. Coupled with complex maintenance or mechanical analytics experience together with demonstrated skills and knowledge of maintenance planning processes and procedures.
A further period of up to one (1) year is required in the position to become familiar with CMBC maintenance planning procedures and systems.
37.5 hours per week.
Salary $7,556 - $9,062 per month (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
