Procon Mining and Tunnelling (Procon) is a leading mine development contractor in North America, specializing in underground mine development, contract mining, excavations, civil tunneling, and related construction projects. We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Planner for our remote project in Northern British Columbia, offering a 3-week on / 3-week off rotation.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and manage detailed maintenance schedules and work orders.
  2. Coordinate and schedule all maintenance activities.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, equipment condition, and costs.
  5. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on equipment modifications and upgrades.
  6. Procure maintenance supplies and equipment.
  7. Work with vendors and contractors as needed.
  8. Develop and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices.
  9. Follow all site policies and safety regulations, prioritizing health and safety.
  10. Perform other mining-related tasks as required.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance within mining or heavy industry.
  2. Strong organizational and planning skills.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Proficiency with maintenance planning and scheduling software.
  5. Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
  6. Familiarity with procurement processes for maintenance equipment and supplies.
  7. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills.
  9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to team dynamics.
  10. Dependability and commitment to a 3-week on / 3-week off rotation.
  11. Positive attitude and proactive team member.
  12. Residents of Northern British Columbia or Indigenous candidates are encouraged to apply.

Additional Information

This position involves frequent air travel to the remote site. Candidates must meet all legislated requirements for air travel and be able to work both day and night shifts during the rotation.

What We Offer
