Job summary

Nortera Foods Inc. in Quebec invites a Maintenance Planner to join the Maintenance department. You will plan, organize and schedule preventive maintenance (PM), ensuring PM integration into the weekly schedule and the availability of equipment for interventions.

Reporting to the maintenance director, you will champion the CMMS, manage intervention requests, coordinate tasks, and lead prioritization meetings to improve equipment reliability and department performance.

Qualifications

• University degree in mechanical, electromechanical or industrial engineering, or technical diploma with industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience using CMMS software.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and schedule all activities related to preventive maintenance (PM).
• Be the champion of the CMMS (EAM) system.
• Manage intervention requests and coordinate maintenance tasks.
• Ensure optimal use of the system and provide training when necessary.
• Prepare and lead prioritization and planning meetings.
• Develop PM plans and propose reliable solutions.
• Implement KPIs to improve department performance.
• Follow up on parts requests with stores.

Reporting to the maintenance director, the maintenance planner works in collaboration with the maintenance team in order to plan all of the work. He ensures that preventive maintenance is integrated into the weekly schedule as well as the availability of equipment for carrying out the interventions.

THE ROLE:

• Plan, organize and schedule all activities related to preventive maintenance (PM);
• Be the champion of the EAM maintenance management system (CMMS);
• Manage intervention requests received in EAM and coordinate maintenance tasks to be carried out;
• Ensure optimal use of EAM and carry out required training when necessary;
• Prepare and lead prioritization and planning meetings;
• Develop PM plans and propose sustainable solutions to make equipment more reliable;
• Implement KPIs according to expected objectives in order to increase the department's performance;
• Follow up on parts requests with the storekeeper;
• Participate in improving the management of preventive maintenance;
• Act as OHS manager and promote compliance with procedures, policies and regulations;

PROFILE:

• University degree in mechanical, electromechanical or industrial engineering, or technical diploma combined with demonstrated experience in the industry
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in the industry
• Demonstrated experience in using CMMS software;
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, etc.
• Knowledge of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance strategies;
