Job summary

QuadReal Property Group is seeking a Building Operator, Level 2, to join our Calgary portfolio. You will maintain climate control, monitor life-safety and mechanical systems, and perform preventive maintenance as part of a building operations team.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, a valid 4th Class Power Engineer or Building Operator Certificate, and 3+ years in commercial high-rise operations. Overtime and on-call rotation are expected.

Qualifications

• 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate in good standing with ABSA or equivalent.
• Building Operator Certificate required or in good standing.
• 3+ years in junior to intermediate commercial high-rise operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life-safety systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to unscheduled repairs.
• Monitor BAS, alarms, and assist with troubleshooting.
• Support environmental health and safety programs.
• Assist in after-hours emergencies and on-call rotations.

The primary objective of the Building Operator, Level 2 is to ensure that the assigned real estate portfolio or complex of buildings is managed and maintained in a safe and environmentally responsible manner and to the highest level of operational efficiency.Responsibilities:Installing, repairing and maintaining climate control and other mechanical systems within a building or portfolioOverseeing preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, electrical, roofing and life safety systemsassisting with environmental assessments and reportingPerform chemical testing of open and closed loop systems.
