Job summary

Carmeuse North America seeks an experienced Maintenance Millwright to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial mechanical systems at the Blind River facility in Ontario.

The role requires a Licensed Industrial Millwright certificate and 4+ years in industrial maintenance, with strong TPM and leadership capabilities. Overtime is paid, and a comprehensive benefits package is provided. Apply via [e-mail].

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Department of Labour certificate for a Licensed Industrial Mechanical Millwright.
• Minimum 4 years or 8000 hours of on-the-job millwright maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Competency in preventive, predictive, basic care practices and computerized maintenance management systems; strong leadership and TPM experience; Six Sigma training is a plus.
• Prior leadership experience and a mature, teamwork-driven mindset.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, isolate, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical malfunctions and equipment; maintain and repair mechanical systems; test equipment for safety and efficiency; fabricate mechanical parts; participate in maintenance operations.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems including motors, controls, scales, and other equipment; use test equipment and hand tools to locate causes and correct problems.
• Ensure proper function of mechanical safety devices.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair new equipment and systems.
• Monitor work for compliance with legislated requirements.
• Assist in writing specifications for repairs and new construction.
• Maintain service and repair records.
• Analyze and respond safely to routine and emergency repair calls.
• Follow blueprints to locate equipment and conform to building and safety codes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED equivalency
• Department of Labour certificate for a Licensed Industrial Mechanical Millwright
• Minimum 4 years or 8000 hours of on-the-job millwright maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated competency in preventative, predictive, basic care practices, and computerized maintenance management systems; strong leadership and Total Productive Maintenance experience; Six Sigma training is a plus
• Prior experience demonstrating effective leadership skills
• Demonstrable teamwork and maturity with a strong work ethic
• Fluency in spoken and written English
