Job summary

FGF Brands is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to provide mechanical support for production, packaging, processing, and facilities to ensure continuous operations.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair equipment across bakery lines with a focus on safety and efficiency. A Millwright license or equivalent experience is required, with at least two years in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging/manufacturing environment (food industry is highly preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and Lockout Procedures is an asset.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs is an asset.
• Committed to working towards a Mechanical Certification.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot machinery in processing & packaging.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and provide quick, innovative solutions.
• Operate drill press, grinder, saws, and machine shop tools.
• Setup, takedown, and relocation of Bakery and Packaging equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Respond to equipment issues with a customer-oriented approach.
• Maintain shift reports and order parts as needed.
• Maintain an organized maintenance shop and tool storage.
