About the Company

BramCal Production Inc is a manufacturer of quality commercial and residential roofing packaging products and part of the IKO Group of Companies. We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Dual Qualified Electrical Millwright based in Barrie, Ontario.

Role Objective

The main objective of this role is to maximize plant performance through troubleshooting, repair, and upgrade of electrical and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, drives, motors, and fuse disconnects.
  2. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical and electronic control systems and related devices.
  3. Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  4. Work with computers, AC/DC drives, HMI’s, and PLCs.
  5. Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.
  6. Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain records.
  7. Maintain spare parts inventory.
  8. Plan and oversee testing and calibration of electrical and electronic equipment and tools on a scheduled basis.
  9. Collaborate closely with Operations personnel.
  10. Comply with health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  11. Respond to on-call requests as needed.

Job Requirements:

  1. Preferred dual qualified licensed Industrial Electrician 442A and Industrial Mechanic License 433A.
  2. Alternatively, licensed Industrial Electrician 442A with mechanical maintenance skills or valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License 433A.
  3. Knowledge of AC/DC drives, logic, and control programming.
  4. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Ability to work at heights.
