Job summary

KIT Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a leading agricultural processing facility in North Battleford, SK. This full-time, on-site role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliable operation of plant equipment.

You will read blueprints, perform welding and metalwork as required, coordinate with production to minimize downtime, and adhere to HACCP, GMP, and safety standards. A strong background in processing plants and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment in a processing or grain facility.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance principles and safety practices.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and equipment specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, conveyors, motors, and machinery.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components.
• Complete welding and metalworking as required.

• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance concerns.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
• Follow HACCP, GMP, and Occupational Health & Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, conveyors, motors, and machinery
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components
• Complete welding and metalworking as required
• Read blueprints, manuals, and equipment specifications
• Coordinate maintenance with production to minimize downtime
• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance concerns
• Respond to emergency breakdowns when required
• Follow HACCP, GMP, and Occupational Health & Safety standards
• Support additional maintenance projects as needed

Qualifications

• 35 years of maintenance experience in a processing plant, grain facility, agricultural operation, or similar environment
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment
• Welding, electrical, and motor repair experience is an asset
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Self-motivated, dependable, and safety-focused
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety regulations
