Job summary

The Narmco Group in Windsor, Ontario is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to supervise a multi-shift team of skilled trades, automation technicians and contractors. You will oversee maintenance of stamping equipment, robotics and facilities, and drive preventative/predictive maintenance programs to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a community college in Mechanical Engineering Technology with 5–7 years related experience or 10–15 years with training.
• Millwright C of Q certification is required.
• Hands-on technical skills with maintenance and repair expertise.
• Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff including Automation/Robotic Technicians, Skilled Trades and Electricians.
• Oversee new equipment, process and building installations.
• Schedule outside contractors for plant projects.
• Plan and record preventive and predictive maintenance for building, equipment and processes.
• Set, monitor and report the department budget monthly.
• Provide weekly status reports on PM scheduling.
• Drive problem solving and implementation for manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Share responsibilities in smaller or new facilities as needed.

Job description

The Narmco Group is an industry leader in the automotive industry for metal stamping and assembly. As a result of continuously growing our professional team, we have a challenging career opportunity for a Maintenance Manager.

This hands-on position is responsible for the supervision of skill trades and General Contractors in a multi-shift environment.

Key focus will be maintaining and repairing all manufacturing equipment (including heavy ton stamping presses, robotics and standard to complex machinery) and facilities and building maintenance (including air compressors, chill water systems, overhead cranes, and lift trucks).

The Maintenance Manager is also responsible for implementing and managing preventative/predictive maintenance programs and assisting plant operations with engineering solutions, commissioning, and product launches.

Wages $40 - $52 per hour, based on experience

Job Requirements

• Responsible for supervision of all maintenance staff, including but not limited to - Automation / Robotic Technicians, Skilled Trades: Maintenance and Electricians
• Supervise new equipment, process and building installations.
• Responsible for scheduling of outside contractors, as required for plant projects.
• Schedule and record all preventative and predictive maintenance for building, equipment and processes.
• Responsible for department budget setting, monitoring, maintenance and reporting monthly.
• Responsible for reporting weekly the status of the plant maintenance PM Scheduled.
• Responsible for synchronous problem solving and implementation involving manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Smaller and new facilities may have shared responsibilities for other duties as required.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of a community college in Mechanical Engineering Technology, with five (5) to seven (7) years related experience or ten (10) to fifteen (15) years’ experience with technical training.
• Millwright C of Q
• Proven hands-on technical skills involvement.
• Team player with strong organizational abilities and leadership skills.
