Revery Curio Collection by Hilton in Toronto is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee exterior and interior facilities maintenance, including electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, and structural aspects. The role emphasizes proactive preventative maintenance and high hospitality standards.

You will lead a team, coordinate with subcontractors, prepare progress reports, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvements in facility operations within a premier downtown hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Building Environmental Systems Class I&II certification or equivalent.
• Three years of building maintenance experience; hotel environment preferred.
• Minimum three years combined mechanical, electrical, life safety experience.
• Minimum 2 years using computerized word processors, spreadsheets and databases.

Responsabilités

• Directs daily scheduling and shift rotations for maintenance staff to ensure full coverage.
• Assigns preventative maintenance tasks and acts as senior contact for complex issues.
• Monitors workflows to ensure guestroom repairs and upgrades are completed efficiently.
• Maintains daily progress reports and tracks work orders and requests.
• Inspects repairs to meet hospitality quality standards.
• Identifies material and tool requirements and manages supply requisition.
• Coordinates on-site activities of external subcontractors and trades.
• Leads safety orientations and training for maintenance workers.
• Conducts performance evaluations and provides coaching and discipline when required.

What will you be doing?

JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for overseeing maintenance operations and upgrades for the exterior and interior facilities, including electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, heating, cooling, structural, ground care and overall smooth operation within the hotel. You will take a proactive, preventative approach to maintaining the hotel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Directs the daily scheduling and shift rotations for maintenance technicians and specialized repair workers to ensure constant property coverage
• Assigns targeted preventative maintenance tasks for the overall upkeep of the building, stepping in as the senior point of contact to help the team resolve complex technical and infrastructure issues.
• Monitors front‑line technical workflows to ensure all guestroom repairs and structural upgrades are completed efficiently.
• Compiles and maintains daily work progress reports, tracking completed work orders, ongoing infrastructure updates, and outstanding maintenance requests logged in the system by other departments.
• Inspects completed facility repairs, including drywall patching, framing, tile replacements, furniture restoration, and concrete repair work, ensuring all outputs meet strict hospitality quality benchmarks.
• Identifies daily material and tool requirements, managing the requisition of repair supplies, specialized equipment, and mechanical components to prevent project delays.
• Coordinates the on‑site activities of external subcontractors and specialized trade workers, reviewing his team's workflows alongside their completed installations to verify compliance with technical specifications.
• Leads workplace safety orientations and training for maintenance workers, ensuring strict adherence to hazard prevention, equipment operation protocols, and safe repair practices.
• Conducts performance evaluations of maintenance team members, provides feedback and coaching to support their technical and professional development, and makes recommendations regarding employee performance and disciplinary matters when required.

To undertake special projects and other duties as assigned by Management/ General Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

• Building Environmental Systems Class I&II or equivalent certification.
• Three years of building maintenance experience required; hotel environment preferred

Experience:

• Minimum three years combined mechanical, electrical, life safety experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience using computerized word processors, spreadsheets and databases

Skills:

• Demonstrated knowledge of manual and computerized financial and accounting operations and systems
• Must have a high degree of organization and the ability to multitask
• Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills to deal tactfully with hotel clients & staff
• Ability to read blueprints and technical data
• W.H.M.I.S. Training Certificate

Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
