Job summary

You will oversee Maintenance Managers, Supervisors, Planners, Reliability/Engineering resources, and 80+ unionized skilled trades. The role focuses on equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, operational excellence, capital projects, cost optimization, and talent development, with accountability for multi-million-dollar

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading unionized manufacturing sites.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS, preventive/predictive maintenance, and reliability programs.
• Experience managing multi-site budgets and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and reliability strategy across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Develop Maintenance Managers, Supervisors, Planners, and Engineers.
• Drive improvements in maintenance capital projects, PM compliance, and costs.
• Lead preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
• Establish standardized maintenance practices, KPIs, and reliability processes.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering on automation, controls, modernization, and capital projects.
• Manage multi-million-dollar maintenance budgets, contractors, spare parts, and resources.
• Lead RCA, TPM, Lean, Continuous Improvement, and breakdown-elimination initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with HR and Labour Relations in unionized environments.
• Build a strong maintenance leadership and succession pipeline.

This leader will oversee Maintenance Managers, Supervisors, Planners, Reliability/Engineering resources, and approximately 80+unionized skilled trades employees.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline – mandatory.
• 5+ years of progressive maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading unionized manufacturing sites.
• Strong leadership experience managing Maintenance Supervisors, and large skilled-trades teams.
• Experience within CPG, food, beverage, consumer products, pharmaceutical, or highly automated manufacturing.
• Experience managing large capital projects and multi-million-dollar maintenance budgets.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS, preventive/predictive maintenance, RCM, TPM, Lean, and reliability programs.
• Strong financial, operational, communication, and people-leadership skills.
