Job summary

Exact Match Recruitment seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance group, covering repairs, installation and improvement of metal stamping machines, robots, welding and related equipment. The role drives preventive/predictive maintenance and supports engineering solutions, commissioning, and product launches.

You will manage TPM, budgeting, staffing, and cross-training, while coordinating with plant operations and HR to optimize resources and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or equal work experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Maintenance Manager role.
  • Automotive background with hydraulics is required.
  • CMMS experience required; preference for Emaint.
  • Experience in stamping operations, welding, robotics, and maintenance spectrum.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical PLCs, pneumatics and hydraulics in manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience managing maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance group, repairs, installation and improvements of metal stamping machinery and plant support equipment.
  • Implement and manage preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
  • Assist plant operations with engineering solutions, commissioning and product launches.
  • Develop and manage TPM programs and documentation for all maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate capital spending and supplier management for facility projects.
  • Provide cross-training for maintenance personnel and ensure compliance with schedules.
  • Direct supervision of maintenance shift supervisors and MRO Planner; oversee hourly staff.

Job description

Maintenance Manager is responsible overseeing, supervising and managing the maintenance group, repairs, installation and improvement metal stamping machines, robots, welding and standard to complex machinery and plant support equipment. The Maintenance Manager is also responsible for implementing and managing preventative/predictive maintenance programs and assisting plant operations with engineering solutions, commissioning, and product launches.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for all preventive and predictive maintenance
  • Management of all maintenance plant. Develop and manage departmental staffing and budget plans.
  • Development of strategic improvement plans for the facility, equipment and supporting functions (logistics, safety, environmental, etc.)
  • Develop, implement and manage a Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) program.
  • Establish priorities for the maintenance department and works closely with the Plant Manager and HR team to ensure the effective utilization of available resources;
  • Initiate facility-related capital requisitions and coordinate capital spending to meet current and future production requirements.
  • Select bids, monitor and manage progress and costs of suppliers and contractors for facility grounds and equipment projects, coordinating activities with responsible user departments.
  • Develop and provide cross training for all maintenance personnel in regards to the various aspects of the maintenance department.
  • Responsible for the execution, and improvement and compliance of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ensure repair work is documented and performed in accordance with schedules
  • Direct supervision - 2 Maintenance shift supervisors, MRO Buyer/Maintenance Planner. Indirect supervision of: hourly skilled trade
Requirements
  • Associates Degree or equal work experience preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Maintenance Manager role
  • Automotive background, hydraulics is a must
  • Emaint for CMMS. CMMS experience is a must but the preference for Emaint.
  • Experience in an Stamping operations, Welding, Robotics and maintenance and repair spectrum, as well as a strong level of adeptness of mechanical, electrical PLCs, pneumatics and hydraulic elements of manufacturing equipment;
  • Strong background and hands-on experience with maintenance of machines
  • Management experience in maintenance, including managing teams of people;
